I find it regretable to announce that I must leave The Mall Tribe RPG. The following reasons should explain why.
About the OCs - First everyone knows a PROPERLY run RPG allows the gamers that have created the OCs to take those characters with them when they leave. Therefore NONE of Ryan's kids belong to the game. They are NOT yours. We can not stop you from bringing them back as other journals, but any GOOD Mod should know this simple rule - OC's belong to their creators NOT the game they were played in.
Secondly. I find it insulting and backstabbing to go and ask other gamers their opinion of your character and what should be 'done' with them and who they 'belong' to before you yourself are apporached with the supposed problem. Whatever you think May is up to is probably wrong because she is not your character. ASK first what I am doing with MY character before you start accusing me of breaking rules and quoting them at me. And try to properly contact me. Not being on AIM and you not being able to chat with me is not "properly contacting". One locked post is NOT "properly contacting me".
My friends have been insulted and I have been insulted, accused, lied to, and attacked. I DO NOT TOLERATE such behaviour.
I am sorry it has come to this. But there it is.

May watched as the others left. Maybe she should have gone along with them. Maybe it'd have cheered her up. Maybe it would have made her more depressed. Right now there were too many 'maybe's'.
She left Patsy's room, no sense in hanging around in an empty room that wasn't hers and wandered around the upstairs of the Mall. When she looked down the stairs though, she saw Dax. Sweeping. No, she wasn't ready to face that yet. Maybe she'd go out too. It seemed as if it'd be awhile before either dinner or the planned party.
She turned back around, not sure if Dax had seen her or not and went to get her coat from the room and went out the Car Park Exit. She didn't know if she'd survive to the party. She really wanted to get drunk. Really drunk. And soon.

May slipped in through the front door of the Mall. She had removed her T-Gun and blue bandana several blocks away and shoved them into the pockets of her jacket. Now, all she wanted to do was make it back upstairs to her room without being caught. She needed to clean up from her adventure. Aside from her shoulder and hands she was dirty too. She made it to the hospital and collected a few things, declining any help from the volunteers on duty. She knew how to take care of herself. She didn't need to take their time away from anyone who really needed it. She was reminded she had not worked a shift recently and as she went back out the door tried to figure out when she could fit it in. After weeks there, she had learned to enjoy the time volunteering at the hospital. It gave her something to do, and used some of the skills she had acquired over the years. It wasn't like she was a professional first aider or anything, but she knew how to bandage cuts and bruises and at this point knew where every supply went in the hospital.

| Out in the City |
[14 May 2004|08:18pm] |
|
May had spent half the day with the Zappers before she heard anything that piqued her interest. All they'd done up to that point was wander around the city aimlessly, looking for trouble and telling stories about their adventures in the Game, when there still was a Game. And that was what eventually brought up the talk about the organized arena Game she'd been hearing rumours of. Oh, not everyone was playing it. But it was rumoured to be so similar in set up to the Game you almost couldn't tell you weren't in reality space. But when she asked where they'd heard the news from the answers were always vague. The whole, my friend's, brother's, cousin...kind of thing. Which was odd, because there just weren't that many Zappers. Who had been the first to find out the information. She couldn't track them down, and that made her suspicious. No-one seemed to know who had brought the news.
She stood to the side watching some of them setting up an ambush. Someone had sighted a group of Stingrays heading into Zapper terrritory looking for a fight. And they were all too happy to give it to them. She bit her nails in a bad habit she'd never been able to break when she was thinking in a disturbed and nervous fashion. Could the Arena Game be the clue to it all she was looking for? Who was aranging it? Zappers? Stingrays? Or the third party? If she went tomorrow, maybe she'd find out.

| Out the Car Park exit |
[03 May 2004|07:30am] |

When she reached the room she picked up her jacket, the T-Guns and blue bandana were there in the pockets. She was surprised Dax hadn't found them yet. Though he wasn't one to go prying. She supposed she should be grateful for that. She decided to go out the Car Park entrance. For now it seemed she would be unobserved that way.
She took the side streets. The whole point was to not be caught, and as a number of the MallRats had not been at breakfast it would not be unheard for them to be out an about in the Market. When she was a fair distance away she pulled out the blue bandana and tied it around her head. Once you were in Zapper territory it'd be stupid not to wear a colour. Now to find them. Things were tense. Everyone was waiting for the next fight to happen. It was only a matter of when.

After dinner May went down to her room. She'd never had Goulash before. It wasn't bad, far more appetising than the name seemed to hint at. Dax hadn't been at dinner though and that worried her. Where had he run off to? She hadn't heard enough noise to warrant his scramming like that. She gave a helpless shrug, she'd never understand what made him tick.
She looked around. 'Cute.' Dax had called it. She wrinkled her nose. Cute? It made her want to rearrange the entire room. But not tonight. Last night was catching up with her and she was slowly heading towards exhausted. She went behind her screen and changed into her new nightdress and went to brush her hair at her mirror. She reached over to turn her stereo on again with a distracted smile, but it became a frown as she stared into her eyes in the mirror.
The Colour Wars kept springing back into her head. She'd been a part of that once. She'd fought in them, even led a group of Blue's against Red's during the fight over the hunt for Jay. She could still feel it inside, the hatred for the opposing team. She threw the brush onto the desk and turned away. She still knew the Blues, and they knew her. She could easily slip in to get information on what was going on. If they really were stopping people from entering the city and what this fighting really was about. But if she did it was inevitable that she'd have to Game. Even to defend herself. She knew how. It was easy. Point and shoot. May almost never missed, it was how she'd won the first game. She sat on her bed. But how to approach Salene about it. Should she? She could go out on her own...
Then there had been the fight with Trudy. Over The Chosen. Over Dax. Everything she had done as a Chosen was coming back fresh in her mind to haunt her along with what she had done in The Game. She curled up on her side, miserable. She was tired of taking these long walks down memory lane. All she wanted to do was leave it all behind and look forward to a new future where she could live without those mistakes.
She tried to close her eyes, trying to relax. Strangely enough the thought that came into her mind was that she had never retrieved her necklace from the room she had shared with Dax last night. Oh well, she'd get it later. She wondered where he was. Had he gone out? Gone to bed already? Her smile was a touch sad as she thought of their dancing together. It had been such a long time since she had danced. Years...she slowly drifted into a light, restless sleep.

"Compliments still come a little too easily to your lips." She murmurred before wrapping her arms around his neck, allowing him to pull her nearer, her heart beginning to race. She thought of the orange nighty hidden behind the screen and it made her laugh inside. She wondered if he would like it. "Think you can hold that thought till after dinner." She whispered breathlessly when the kiss ended. "I could make it worth the wait." She knew she had other more important things she should be thinking about, worrying about. But right now all she could think about was how long it was till bed time. She smiled up at him flirtatiously.

May left the City Leader room office and went downstairs to her room. She was still bored and considered going out. But where would she go? Market? Casino? She decided she'd rather be bored in the Mall than out. She took the nightdress and unrolled it, placing it behind a screen in the corner of the room. She then came back out and actually wondered where all the liquor she'd donated to the party had gone. Or if there was any left.
She frowned when something out of place caught her attention on one of the shelves. A stereo? Where had that come from? She walked up to it and looked it over. Who...where? It was already plugged in. Someone had placed it there purposefully for her to find. Dax? Hadn't they been talking about stereos this morning? And he had gone out...but a gift? For her? She wasn't sure what to think, someone had gotten a gift for her. She wasn't used to that. She smiled a little. Of course. She couldn't be sure it was him...but who else would it be? Curiously she opened up the CD player. Empty. Hmmm..had anyone taken Cloe's stereo back up to her room yet? There had been one CD in there that had played last night...
She peered out of her room, yep, it was still there by the bench. She went over to it and opened it up, stealing one of the CD's out of it. Surely Cloe wouldn't miss one. She obviously hadn't missed her stereo yet. She ran back, feeling like quite the burglar and put it in to the CD holder and let it close. Her smile grew broader as it began to play a slow sultry song.
She stood in front of her mirror turning this way and that as she danced to the music now playing. She fluffed her hair a bit, bringing it forward over her shoulders. She wondered if she should change her makeup a bit. She let her thoughts drift to the orange night dress behind the screen and her lips curved in a smile as she wondered what Dax would think of it. She sighed. What was wrong with her? Hadn't she sworn off men after the way Pride had treated her? And hadn't she just lived through an hours worth of those memories? But Dax...he was different. The way he had behaved towards her today. The little attentions, the way he kissed her when he came and left. She'd never had that before. Had she really only known him a couple of days? It felt like longer. She undid the barrettes from her hair, pulling it all to one side, considering.

May followed Salene, keeping a close eye on her as she wavered. She paused at the carpark entrance though for a brief time to think. She didn't want to dwell on Pride or their relationship anymore. She was tired of it. It had wreaked enough havoc in her life. She firmly put it behind her again. Swearing this would be the last time.
She watched Dax walk by with a small frown. What was he carrying? Hadn't he been guarding Bray last she had known. With a shrug she pushed away from the wall and was about to go back into the Mall when she heard a strange 'ka-thunk-ing' sound. Curiously she followed it to the laundry room. Something was slamming around in one of the dryers. She opened the door and backed away from the wave of heat before peering in. Mouse's clothes were in there along with her tennis shoes. May groaned, hadn't anyone told her you don't put tennis shoes in the dryer? She pulled them out, quickly putting them down almost burning her fingers on them. They were hot! She closed the door and set it running again before heading towards the clothes closet. She hoped there was another set Mouse's size there.
By some miracle there were and she wondered what in the world had happened to Mouse that her clothes were in the dryer. And where was Mouse? She checked her room. Not there. The showers maybe?
After speaking with Mouse, May came back out into the upper hallway. She paused, wondering what she should do now. She had already done her shift at the hospital. And she wasn't so sure she wanted to go and see what state the kitchen was in. She glanced towards Salene's City Leader room and, making sure she entered unobserved, she went to the desk, scanning the maps that had been left there after their quick exit. She ran her fingers over the lines, memorizing the streets...

After leaving the cafe May had made it downstairs to the Hospital without anyone stopping her. She needed to be doing something and as she had volunteered at the hospital for several weeks already, she pretty much knew the routine of things there. She paused to look at the girl on the cot. She had been covered with a light sheet. May knew that apart from making her as comfortable as possible, there wasn't much that could be done for a T-gun stun. They had to wait for her to wake up. She went to help with organizing some of the medicine and to roll up the never ending supply of bandages.
She thought she heard Mouse and Brady, but when she went to look they weren't there. Must have been an echo from their playing out in the main floor of the mall. She took several of the bandages and sat on the cot next to the girl. She apparently wasn't hurt in any other way. For she didn't see any other wounds. She wondered what level the stun had been on. How long would she be out? Had she been a part of the conflict? She set one after the other of the bandages aside. Nodding when one of the volunteers brought her more, her mind wandering. Was there anything she could do about these Colour Wars? If something wasn't done there would be more like this girl. Lots more. They had seen it before. Perhaps there was something she could do. Of all the MallRats there she knew the Game better than any of them. She knew how to play it. Could she use that to find out what was going on? Did she dare put herself in the middle of that again?

May pouted as Amber pulled Jay away from her. Hey... "Not fair." She then turned and looked around, only now missing her glass and the bottle of tequila. "Where'd they go?" She looked up at Dax and smiled, her eyes half closed as she leaned on the bar. "You know, you really are too attractive for your own good." She whispered, leaning in as if to kiss him. At the last minute she laughed and laid her head on the counter top. She then sat back up, leaning her chin in her hand. "So where do you want to go to talk, handsome?"

May entered her room and glanced around. Right. The box of liquor was stashed away under the bed. She peeked out the door again, watching Dax fix up the bar with a little smile. Her lips still tingled from his kiss. She hadn't wanted to stop kissing him. With a shake of her head she went to get the box. And the way he had carressed her...she rolled her eyes. She was acting like a giddy school girl. It wasn't as if she'd never been touched before. She counted the various bottles, identifying each one before carrying it out towards the bar.

May woke up and shoved the covers off of her face. She grimaced as she sat up and looked around. What was all the noise about?? Since the moment Mouse had brought her the bell there had been non-stop commotion out in the halls. Yelling, screaming, arguing. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and was pleased that she didn't sway. Gross as the medicine she was being forced to take was it was obviously working. But she felt sticky and icky now.
She peered out her door and saw Ryan in conversation with some girl she didn't recognize. The way she was dressed...May didn't recognize it as any Tribe in the city, and no Outcast would be caught dead in that fancy stuff. Jack seemed transfixed by the Phoenix Statue, and Sammi just seemed lost, so she was safe to slip by. But the cafe was crowded. And when had Jay gotten back??Ugh. The last thing she wanted to be right now was social! She wanted a shower! Going back into her room she grabbed some new clothes and slunk up the stairs, ignoring everybody. She didn't even know if she had her voice back yet, though her throat wasn't as raw as before. And she wasn't sneezing or coughing. But she still felt hot.
After her shower she changed into a black one shouldered top that belted around her midriff. Hot pink leather capri pants with a scarf tyed around her hips. She added some new markings to the left side of her face and redid her makeup closer to the way she had worn it a few years back only in brighter shades of fuschia and blue. Somewhere she had attained a gold necklace made up of long tassels and she decided to wear it now. Black boots as usual. Now she was feeling a little better as she combed out her hair which was still long, dark on top, but with fuschia underneath.
Now...did she feel like being social?

May pulled the covers from over her head and looked around through squinted eyes. What time was it? She didn't have a clock or windows to see how light or dark it was. She didn't know if she felt like she'd slept too much or not enough. All she knew was she was miserable, hot, and sweaty. She dragged herself out of bed and stumbled over to the doorway peering out. She felt like she was really hungry...either that or she was going to be sick. But she had no voice to call for anyone - not that it looked like anyone was around - and she didn't have the strength to make it up the stairs. She teetered back to bed and crawled back in, curling up in a miserable ball on her side, and pulling the covers back over her head...

Inside she took off her jacket, kicked off her shoes, and climbed into bed, pulling the covers up over her head to block out the light and the noise coming from upstairs in the cafe....
